The reservoir is covered by the Los Angeles 400 000 black balls

Back in 2007, the Department for Protection of Water Resources of Los Angeles, USA has determined that the reservoir level is exceeded Ivanhoe too dangerous carcinogens that form when exposed to sunlight.

To combat this phenomenon, it was decided to pour water on the surface of 400 000 black plastic beads that will absorb ultraviolet radiation. It is planned to complete the experiment in 2012.
